Just a few blocks from Logan Square sits James, an urban restaurant that cooks up great American classics with their own personal twist.
Recently, we went in during their lunch, where the lovely manager, Keenan, told us about their new Power Lunch special. This is an awesome choice for diners on their lunch break, as they serve two courses under 30 minutes at just $20. Add a drink for an additional $5 or even a dessert.
We started out our meal with their amazing cheese and charcuterie board, featuring burrata and blue cheese, prosciutto, pepperoni and an out- of- this world Bacon Jam. For our Power Lunch, we tried a little bit of everything. The first course was our choice between a salad or lobster bisque. The creamy lobster bisque really hit the spot, but the salad, served with balsamic vinegar, is also a great, healthy option.
In record time, our meals came. We loved the Rosemary Chicken BLT. It was served with avocado, lime-chipotle aioli, double cut bacon on a ciabatta roll. On the side was sweet potato chips and a tangy dijonnaise. It was so big we couldn’t finish it, but it was so good, we had to take it home.
We can’t wait to go back to James to try more off of their menu… it was so big it was hard to decide what to get!
